Well, my weight gain is now 14 lbs... more like it should be, but they don't want me gaining more than 15, so i'm pushing it!! Overall, it's been good. I'm hoping that next week's visit will show no gain. It seems to go up some weeks, then down or stay the same other weeks. We're 35 weeks and a day along, but she's measuring 36 weeks... which is better than being too small!! :-)
After our doctor's visit we went to see my nephew Trent and his mommy and daddy. He's doing very well breathing through his mouth, but sometimes needs some help with keeping his tongue out of the way. His little nose has a blockage on the right side, so he needs to keep his mouth airway open. Other than that little blockage, he's perfectly healthy in every way! He's happy and nursing extremely well!! Uncle Jace and Aunt Des both got to hold him!!!!
His head gear is to help hold the nipple in place so his tongue stays down and he is able to breathe. The end of the nipple has been cut off so there is a hole for him to breathe through. He does very well with this as well as breathing through his left nostril.
Jace go to hold him as well... he's going to make SUCH a good daddy!!! Only 5 more weeks and he'll be holding his own little girl!!!
